In It To Win It With Feng Shui
Watching the Olympics this year reminds me that getting to the top is hard work.
Take the sliding events like the luge, skeleton and bobsled as an example.
In order to be successful at the sliding events, you have to know when to control your sled and when to just let go, allowing that downhill energy to take over.
In order to have a strong race, however, you need to have a strong start.
Feng Shui is no different.
Do you want change in your life? I mean real change.
Are you ready for a new career, a passionate relationship or to get some seriously positive recognition?
If so, read on…
Where to Stop
Do you find yourself undermining your own efforts with negative self-talk?
If so, STOP IT!
Do you find that you surround yourself with objects and artwork that reminds you of negative parts of your past without focusing on your fantastic future?
If so, STOP IT!
If you find that stopping is difficult, let me remind you of something:
If you keep doing what you’ve always been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always been getting.
It’s time for something new.
Where to Start
If you want something different, you need to change your surroundings and change your thinking.
But, sometimes we need an energy boost to really make all of the changes that are necessary. Where do we start?
Career & Life Path
Target your Career & Life Path Area first, especially if things in your life have stagnated.
The Career Area is near where all of that Feng Shui energy called Chi flows into your home or office at the front door.
Ensure that this area has a clear and clean doorway. In other words, neatly organize or put away the piles of shoes and jackets.
The element for this area is water. A working water fountain, a mirror, or a picture of a calm river flowing into the house would be great here.
Fame & Reputation
Now it is time for you to boost your confidence by paying some attention to the Fame & Reputation Area of your home or office.
Your key color in this area is red… make it dominant and bright.
The primary element here is fire. Add candles, a picture of the Olympic torch, or something else representative of fire here.
Next Steps
After a few days with the above changes, you should feel energized and in control of your life.
Don’t let this new-found energy go to waste. Use it to make changes to the other areas of your home or office using the Feng Shui Bagua.
After you’re done making the changes necessary to change your life, you simply need to learn when to let go and have the Feng Shui energy take over.
Who knows… maybe you’ll be on top of the podium for luge in 2018. Enjoy the ride!
If things still feel stagnant for you after making the above changes, contact me right now to inquire about a Feng Shui Space Clearing or a Virtual Feng Shui Consultation because I want to help you win!

3 Christmas Feng Shui Tips
‘Tis the season of greetings and cheer. So, let’s take advantage of it and let it charge our homes with wonderful energy, or “Chi” as we call it in Feng Shui.
While I know that the holidays can be stressful, let’s instead use the holiday spirit to boost our energy.
I love the holiday season for many reasons: family and friends getting together, children’s faces lighting up when they see all the holiday decorations and presents….
But, the best part to me is that I can use holiday decorations to boost the Feng Shui energy in my house.
Here are three tips for getting the best Chi flow during the holidays.
Feng Shui Christmas Tip #1: Make Your Doorway Bright
You don’t have to go crazy with the holiday decorations, but Christmas lights keeping the doorway extra bright not only welcome family and friends, but also new energy for your home.
If possible, keep with the color theme of the Career area of the Bagua by using blue lights around your door.
Feng Shui Christmas Tip #2: Tree Placement
Try placing that plush and tall Christmas tree in the Fame and Reputation area to give you that extra boost of recognition. Remember that the color of Fame and Reputation is red. While you’re at it, add a big shiny star on top.
Alternatively, place your healthy green tree in the Family area of your home to bring the family together.
Feng Shui Christmas Tip #3: Present the Presents
Do you want to feel prosperous? Simply place lots of wrapped Christmas presents under the tree… early, if you can.
This will be one of the few times where I won’t call a pile of boxes “clutter.”
Think of how you felt when you were a child surrounded by holiday cheer and presents.
You never really grow out of that feeling. So don’t even try, Mr. Grinch!

I Feel a Change Coming On!
Who likes change? Well, I guess it has to be the right type of change.
And for so many of us, change can sometimes feel overwhelming and uncomfortable.
Let’s assume you aren’t happy with your job. And let’s be honest, chances are you didn’t want to come in to work this morning.
Is there something better out there?
What if you find another job and it turns out to be worse than the one you have?
What if you take that leap of faith and can’t find a job to replace your current income?
Well, let’s not take that leap quite yet.
Instead, let’s make strategic changes… the Feng Shui way! You see, I prefer to use Feng Shui to make the good jobs come to me.
We are going to start with the little things around the house and see how it feels.
And if the small changes you make don’t feel good, simply change them back.
If things work out with the small changes I suggest, however, keep making minor tweaks.
I Like to Move It – Move It!
Start by making some modifications to the layout of your furniture. Along the way, you’ll likely find some dust bunnies and loose change under the sofa. Clean up and pocket the change.
Have you had the same old artwork hanging on the walls? Do they represent who you want to be and what you want to do? If not, make changes using my suggestions from this prior post on artwork.
Things can start to look very different in a fresh way. Start accepting that fresh new feeling and start seeing yourself in that dream job.
Imagine yourself loving every minute of being at your job, surrounded by wonderful new co-workers and a team leader looking to cheer you on.
Start Welcoming in New Energy.
Your front door is always seen as your Career area.
Wash and clean your front door area and wipe away those cobwebs by your door bell.
Make sure your door bell works and has an uplifting chime to it.
Leave your front porch light on at night to brighten up your career path.
Clean up or replace your welcome mat so that it is truly welcoming.
If you normally enter and exit your home through the doorway to the garage, start using your front door instead.
Seriously, park your car in the garage but walk out and go through your front door. Your front door is where all the energy comes in to fuel you and your family with positive energy.
It seems silly, I know. But, you’ll begin to see how, if cleaned up well, walking through your front door brightens your life.

Fire it Up!
Once you are ready to welcome in that change and new career, start firing it up!
By that, I mean go to the Fame and Reputation area of your home and add some fire elements to it.
It can be something as simple as a candle or a picture of something red. Stars or other pointy objects work really well, too.
You can try hanging a red dress, a red tie, a red jacket or even a pair of red socks if your Fame and Reputation area is in a closet.
Be creative! This is your chance to call in that dream job you’ve always wanted! For some other ideas, learn a little more about the Fame and Reputation area.
Welcome Change
Now you can keep your eyes open for those new career opportunities to come to you! Don’t lay out the welcome mat for the new career only to let it pass you by.
Start welcoming change! Change is a good thing!
Especially if you didn’t initiate the change, it can feel overwhelming or just plain bad (like getting laid off). But, you can make the most of even that change.
Did you really love that job? If it wasn’t for them letting you go, would you have ever looked for your dream job that you were always too scared to go for previously?
Use this time as a chance to go after your dream career! Don’t be scared of change; embrace it and let it work in your favor with Feng Shui!

China Officials Seek Career Shortcut With Feng Shui
Per the New York Times, Chinese government officials are using Feng Shui to move past recent corruption problems that have plagued the land bureau.
What did they do? To counteract a pair of stone lions that had been protecting the China Tobacco building across the street from their offices, the land bureau simply used a stone wall to block the harmful energy.
