Feng Shui T-Intersection Cure / Front Door Cure
Place your convex Bagua mirror above your door on the interior wall facing toward the street. Yes, you won’t actually see the mirror.
The Feng Shui for a house on a T-intersection or for a home with a front door lining up with a neighbor’s front door can be quite overwhelming with negative energy, or Chi.
I have a previous blog post that goes into more details why a T-intersection is so dangerous. I won’t re-hash those issues here.
Fortunately, there are cures for a home on a T-intersection!
Convex Bagua Mirror Cure
The simplest Feng Shui cure for houses like this is a convex bagua mirror.
Just hang it above your front door facing the street with the intention of reflecting all the bad Chi out before it even has a chance to come into the house.
If you don’t want it to be seen from the outside of the house, then you can still hang it from inside of the house above the doorway.
Either way, be sure the reflective side of the mirror is facing out to the street or the neighbor’s front door.
Yes, if the mirror is inside of your house, you won’t actually see the reflection when you look at the bagua because the reflective part of the mirror will be against the wall.
Even though the actual objects are not being reflected by the mirror, you are still reflecting the Chi, so it will work fine.
This sign should actually mean, “Keep Out!”
Next Steps
Remember, T-intersections and front doors lining up can be a serious problem in Feng Shui.
Don’t ignore them!
While the above is a quick cure, it won’t necessarily provide long-term benefits to those living on a T-intersection. Read about more lasting Feng Shui cures on my cul-de-sac post, which also applies to T-intersections.

We just bought a new place but prior to that we realised that our new neighbour has been hanging bagua at her main door. Coincidently her main door is facing ours.

When your door is in direct line with your neighbors, it can cause a conflict with that neighbor. So, by hanging a Bagua mirror, it deflects that direct energy from hitting your house. There is no harm to your home by being faced with a Bagua mirror. Feng Shui is never done to harm others. But, I could also recommend that you hang a wind chime in front of your front door to deflect the direct energy hitting your house. By doing this, you and your neighbors might become best friends or at least Feng Shui buddies! Good luck!
what is recommanded to place in the chai and water position in the house. i place a paino in the water position is it ok ?
The water element is located in the front part of your house, your Career gua. If you have a piano there and frequently play lots of happy, flowing music, then I don’t see the harm in it. But if the piano is just sitting there, then it simply represents a wood element. If that is the case, it is just draining the energy from the water element area and I would recommend putting the piano somewhere else. One option is to place it in the Family gua, which is represented by wood. Alternatively, you could have the piano in the Prosperity gua since it is a wealthy item to have. We have a house that sits on a T intersection but not directly facing front door but rather off a little to the left side of house, facing driveway. Is that bad Fung shui and is there remedy??

Unfortunately, yes, it still affects your home negatively. It is especially bad if there are bedrooms on top of the garage that are facing the T-intersection. I would focus on remedying the bedrooms above the garage by placing convex Bagua mirrors on the windows facing out to the street. But for the garage itself, I would put a convex Bagua mirror on top of the garage door to reflect off the “poison arrow” that is coming to the house. Also, if you can do some landscaping in front of the garage, you could try adding a flag pole, tall trees, tall bushes, etc. By placing these types of objects in the line of the intersection, they will slow down the negative energy that is hitting your house.

Is an L-intersection house have the same Feng Shui reading as the T-intersection home?
I am under contract on a new built house and the front door faces directly @ the point. If the house can be shifted to one side to have the garage (w/windows) directly faces @ the point, would that be better? Thank you for your reply.
Ashley- That’s a great question. It would be best to avoid a home in an intersection all together. But, if you are obligated and you have a choice to build it the way you want it, then I would make sure that the front door does not face the intersection. Our house is on a T intersection. Main door, garage door, kitchen window and bedroom window face the intersection. Do we need to place a bagua mirror on each or one is fine?
MG: Thank you for commenting! It would be okay to just put the Bagua mirror on top of the front door, but I would put other types of protection for the other rooms. Perhaps a nice fence or hedge around the house to create a wall, especially for the kitchen and bedroom. Good luck!

Without seeing the actual house, all I can say is that you may be able to place a Bagua mirror facing the utility pole from the house with the intention of pushing the energy of the utility pole away from the house. If it’s at a certain angle, in front of the house or at the back of the house, there might be ways to block the view of the pole by placing tall plants in the line of sight to virtually hide the pole. But if it’s directly in line with the front door, placing a Bagua mirror would be the best bet.

Yes, I would suggest facing a Bagua from both your front door and bedroom.

Hello, We are purchasing a one story home in a somewhat T intersection. Its a one story not quite in the center of intersection. The garage is the part of the house that mostly face the intersection. The front door is to the left. I have included a photo to help. Is there any thing we can do to help with this situation.

For T-intersection homes, there are different things you need to take into consideration. Of the most important is the ages of the people who will be living in it? If they are in their late 50’s, I would recommend against it because their health is more likely to be effected by the T-intersection’s energy than younger people would. That doesn’t necessarily mean that young people should live in a T-intersection without any problem, but they will be facing more challenges in their life than if they were to have if they lived in a different home.
We are looking at a house that is at the top of a curved T-intersection. The house sits slightly up a hill and the road facing it goes down, away from the house. The garage, bottom livingroom window, 2 top floor bedroom windows face the t-intersection, directly into the road. The front door is not on the side of the house, so it doesn’t face the t-intersection. It’s a residential neighborhood near a school and it doesn’t appear too much traffic flows through. Would there still be a lot of negative chi flowing into the house if it’s on a slight hill? Again, the road it faces sloped down, away from the house.
If the street is a T-intersection, it’s still a T-intersection but how much impact it has on your home and your lives are based on the placement of the house on the lot. It sounds like your house is little bit safer then most T-intersections are. If you can I would still make sure that your front lawn has a fence or light pillars to create a barrier from the T-intersection traffic and energy. Hi, I have a plan to buy a house which my family loves. They are very happy with the house. but i have a concern that the house is at the end of the T- intersection of a backlane road. Ask some of my friends and they mentioned that if it is backlane, it is not considered a negative chi since there are no much car movement there. What is our advice on this. If it is bad? Being at a T-intersection is hard, it’s the rush of the energy you have to deal with, and depending on the energy of the people who are living in it, some are strong enough to with stand it, some are too weak and can cause all kinds of issues. If you are at the back end of it, at least you are not at the front load of energy coming to you, but if your house front door is hidden from the street then you have a different issue where you are not getting new energy to your home but only stagnant energy.
Hi there, can you please assist with a feng shui cure for a electric light pole right in alignment with my front door. I didn,t notice this when I purchased this home , Any f shui suggestion would be appreciated. I have a fountain & dragon up high drinking from my fountain all on left hand side looking out of front door. On right looking out at ground level is a tiger. No financial luck & I think maybe this electric pole. Front door cannot be moved. You need to hang a Bagua mirror above your front door to “push” that electric pole away from your front door line, with the intention of removing all obstacles in your life path.
We are renting 2 bd in a house that is on a T. The garage door faces the T. Front door is on the side. Our landlord leaves garage door & living door open all day long. A lot of CHI & wind coming in. How can we protect our selfs? We have not found another place to move to, my husband hasn’t been paid at his job & we are constantly getting colds. Thank you in advance.

If that is the only option you have then make sure you place a tall tree or place a large rock or stone pillar in the front yard that faces the T-intersection to physically stop anything that might jump the curb and end up in your master bedroom. From inside, make sure to hang some thick curtains to block out any headlights that will turn into your bedroom as well as a Convex bagua mirror that faces out into the T-intersection to help “push” the fast energy away from your house.

On the other side of the street, where our house stands, a neighbor made an entrance gate for cars from 8 terraced houses. The gate is in front of our property as well as in front of the left side of a bit of our house. On the ground floor there is a part of the kitchen with, and on the first floor there is a bedroom (the bedroom window does not face this side). Does this have any negative significance for us? Can we use the bagua mirror? if so, which one and where to hang it?

This situation does not sound as bad as it would be if your front door were facing the neighbor. If you did have a door or window facing them, I would normally suggest a convex bagua mirror like this one (https://amzn.to/3BPeBrb). Greetings, Cherry! I completely understand that you do not want to upset your neighbor. Yes, all that you said sounds correct. Though it would be best to have the convex bagua mirror outside your door, having it just inside your door with the mirror facing towards the neighbor (through your wall) is the next best option. Do NOT have that mirror face towards the inside of your home. If you absolutely can’t have the mirror, the third best option is to have a wind chime between your door and the neighbor’s house. Hi, Poh! You have a great question about those corner lot homes across from the home at the T-intersection. Corner lot homes, whether they are in a T-intersection or not, are generally not the best choice for a home, especially if you have young children or elderly residents in the home.
